Brake Light Camouflage

Brake light camouflage.

Motorcycles ride in the left or right side of a lane and are sometimes camouflaged. The brake light of the motorcycle appears to be the brake light of the vehicle it is following. This is particularly true at night. Other times the brake light appears to be the center brake light of the vehicle they are following. Look past the camouflage.

The trick is, change your focus. If there is a motorcycle between you and a car, it is closer than the car.

Some Riders will try to assist you in getting points by placing reflectors or flashing devices to their tail light, but you will get the most points if you can see through the camouflage.
